I'm Mahlet, a product designer with 3+ years of experience shipping production-ready interfaces for early-stage startups across SaaS, HR Tech, Legal Tech, AI, FinTech, and more. I began my journey at UC Berkeley, where studying Cognitive Science and Design Innovation shaped how I approach every design problem.

My design philosophy is this: anyone should be able to use the products I build. Whether you're a seasoned expert or completely new to a workflow, the experience should feel clear and intuitive. No confusion, no frustration, no moment where the interface makes you feel like you're doing something wrong. My goal isn't aesthetics for its own sake. It's designing systems where people feel capable, move forward faster, and accomplish more than they thought possible. When users stop fighting their tools and start trusting them, that's when technology earns its place in someone's life.

When I'm not designing, I'm usually feeding some other creative hobby, whether crocheting, learning to paint, exploring a nearby city with my camera, or attempting a new recipe I found online. I also love going to concerts, going to the movies, binging shows in one sitting, or reading a good book outside.
